Huckins Yacht Corporation is proud to announce that we recently inked a deal to build a new 45’ Sportfisherman.
Decades of industry experience allow us to create a boat packed with features rivaling the largest Sportfishermen — big-boat amenities in a smaller package, with unsurpassed open-water performance, comfort, spaciousness and style.
This being a Huckins, a variety of custom requests will be incorporated. The two-stateroom, two-head boat with an expansive deckhouse and climate-controlled bridge offers the ultimate in relaxation. Twin Cummins 425 hp inboards will power this 45-footer to the fishing grounds at 30+ knots, and joystick maneuverability will pay off during the fight and back at the dock. A second helm station on the marlin tower plus full second-station electronics, 28’ Rupp outriggers, rocket launcher, rod holders, baitwell, ice machine that feeds into insulated bins for the day’s catch, extra built-in coolers, freezers, tackle center and bait center are all onboard. A day head has been thoughtfully incorporated to provide convenience for anglers and eliminate traffic through sleeping quarters.
At our yard in Jacksonville, I have been personally involved in all aspects of the design process and will remain hands-on throughout construction. Check back in here, Facebook and Twitter for updates on the newest addition to the Huckins family. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 85th anniversary year.
