Huckins Debuts its Second Linwood 56 Jet Drive

Huckins Yacht Corporation, world-renowned custom yacht-builder, recently launched their newest custom yacht, the Linwood 56 Jet Drive, La Belle Hélène.

La Belle Hélène demonstrates remarkable performance and agility with twin 715 HP Cummins engines and Hamilton Jet Drives. In its first sea trial, the 60-foot Linwood reached a top speed of nearly 40 MPH thanks to its fuel-efficient, light-weight hull design, and custom engineered structure.

The Linwood’s extraordinary performance and handling characteristics, unmatched by most production boats, truly illustrate what building a Huckins custom yacht is all about. The impressive old-world quality craftsmanship features book-matched Makore (African Cherry) veneer, accented with ultra suede panels and custom molding. Every detail of La Belle Hélène is styled to the specific tastes and preferences of the owners who meticulously worked with Huckins designer, Jon Hall, throughout every step of the design process.

“The latest jet drive was such a pleasure to build and her performance is thrilling,” said Cindy Purcell, owner of Huckins Yacht. “While working with the owners, we were able to accurately combine their vision with ours to make a truly amazing vessel.”

Exhibiting luxury and innovation at its finest, the Linwood features granite counter tops, near silent chilled water HVAC system and a top-of-the-line surround sound entertainment system. The private aft owner’s cabin features a queen berth and his and her heads joined by a custom-designed bathtub, perfect for unwinding after a long day at sea. A laundry center, complete with washer/dryer and two large wardrobes, bring ultimate comfort to La Belle Hélène making it a home away from home.

A spacious salon separates the two staterooms offering relaxation with the option of formal dining. The lower level galley, fully-equipped with drawer-style refrigeration, dishwasher, convection microwave and maximum storage for cutlery and cuisine stores, was carefully thought out to impress any gourmet chef. The forward cabin shows off two twin-size berths adjoined by comfortable lounge seats – great for relaxing.

Above deck, amid the spacious entertaining area, the helm station’s Recaro seats and custom, automotive, stainless leather steering wheel, provide comfort, luxury and style. The helm station’s console was strategically designed to house the latest electronic navigation components and equipment.

Designed for casual living, the bridge is appointed with additional refrigeration including icemaker and wine cellar. The stunning high-gloss mahogany dining table is accented with a compass rose inlay made of ebony and holly. The bridge area motif is carried aft into a spacious 120 sq. ft cockpit. This roomy area serves both to entertain and to eliminate machinery noise from the yacht’s interior accommodations. Furthermore, the cockpit hatches open for easy engine access.

A Huckins at its very best, La Belle Hélène will truly be placed among the most distinct yachts in the world.
