In the complicated process of choosing a custom yacht builder, there are some issues I feel very strongly about. The word "yes" is used far to frequently and without enough thought to its long-term implications. Often this is done to get a sale or make people feel confident.

Fortunately, at Huckins we consider that communication is paramount, in the building of high quality custom yachts. Of course, sometimes that means saying "no" when requests are made that we cannot live with or are unable to fulfill.

Now celebrating our seventy third year of operation, Huckins Yacht Corporation is recognized as one of the oldest continuously family owned boat builders in the United States. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Huckins has been a forerunner in the marine industry since my grandfather developed the planning hull in 1928 and, latter, the PT boat at the onset of World War II. Building with state-of-the-art materials and the finest craftsmen in the world, Huckins has built over four hundred custom yachts ranging from 40 to 90 feet in length.
