The day Frank Pembroke Huckins turned sixty-five, February 10, 1951, he began a manuscript he titled Boats and Women The History of My Life. It was by way of confessional and last will and testament, as well as apologia for being an irascible genius. It seems to reflect its authors belief that he had very little time to set things straight. Frank Pembroke Huckins died three months later, in May 1951.
